Avoid Cooling System Failure - the #1 Cause of Vehicle Breakdowns
Proper cooling of your vehicle’s engine is essential if you want to avoid overheating and breaking down.
We can perform many of your heating and cooling service needs including:
- Radiator fluid flush
- Radiator hoses
- Radiator replacement
- Thermostat and housings
How your heating and cooling system works:
Your radiator is the main part of the cooling system. Radiator fluid or coolant is pumped through the system via the water pump. Radiator hoses carry radiator fluid through the tubes of the radiator where it is cooled before circulating through your engine. Radiator fluid performs an important task, circulating around the engine, absorbing heat and re-cooling. Maintaining the condition of your radiator fluid is important for the performance and life of your engine.
Radiator fluid continuously travels through radiator hoses. Eventually, these rubber hoses break down becoming brittle and cracked, thus needing replacement.
Your thermostat regulates how much coolant enters the system, cooling down or heating up depending on the temperature of the coolant. Your vehicle’s fan switch senses when a temperature change is needed, triggering your cooling fan to draw air through the radiator for faster cooling.
Your vehicle’s heating system includes a heater fan that blows air through the heater core and into your vehicle’s interior to keep you warm on cold days.
